Bruksanvisning

- Select the desired coffee strength by turning the strength selector.

By varying the strength, you also increase or decrease the amount of

coffee in the cup (HD7828 only).

- While the machine is heating up you can select the number of cups you

want to brew. The machine brews the cup or cups immediately after it has

heated up.

- You can interrupt the brewing cycle at any time. To do this, press the same

cup button (1-cup button or 2-cup button) that you pressed to start

brewing coffee. However, if you do this, the machine does not complete

the interrupted brewing cycle if you switch it on again or press the same

cup button again.

Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such

as petrol or acetone to clean the machine. Never rinse the inside of the

machine with the lid open. All detachable parts are dishwasher-proof.

CALC

2x descaling, 2x rinsing

Descale your SENSEO

coffee machine at least every 3 months. Use a used

coffee pod to lter out scale residue. Only use citric acid based descalers.

For optimal results use the original SENSEO

descaler HD7012/HD7011.

Run the descaling cycle and rinsing cycle until the water reservoir is empty.

Make sure that the machine is switched on. Make sure you replace the used

coffee pod with another used coffee pod to lter out scale residue. Repeat

the process until the water reservoir is empty, never interrupt the descaling

process.

Rent koldt vand

Brug rent, koldt vand hver dag. Hvis du ikke har brugt kaffemaskinen i tre

dage, skal du skylle den igennem med rent, koldt vand, før du bruger den

igen. Du skyller maskinen igennem ved at fylde vandtanken med rent, koldt

vand, sætte en skål eller 2 kopper under kaffeudløbet og trykke på 2-kops-

knappen et par gange for at brygge varmt vand, indtil vandtanken er tom.

Problem Solution

Check if there is enough water in the water reservoir

(i.e. above the MIN level if you want to brew 1 cup);

Check if the oat in the water reservoir may be

stuck. Empty the water reservoir and shake it a few

times to release the oat. Clean the water reservoir

with hot water and some washing-up liquid, or in the

dishwasher.

Water leaks

from the coffee

machine.

Make sure that you do not overll the water reservoir.

Check if the sieve is clogged. If the sieve is clogged,

use a washing-up brush to unclog the sieve. If you

cannot clean it properly with the washing-up brush,

put the pod holder in the machine and descale the

machine (see chapter CALC).

Make sure that the coffee pod has been put properly

in the centre of the pod holder.

In all other cases, contact the Philips Consumer Care

Centre in your country.

I cannot open

the lid.

A temporary vacuum has developed under the lid.

Switch off the coffee machine. Pull up the lever and

wait 24 hours before you open the lid. You may need

to use some force. Always make sure the pod holders

are clean and the sieve is not clogged to prevent

vacuum.

The coffee

HD7828: make sure that the strength selector is in

the position you want.

Check the pod holder. If the sieve is clogged, use a

washing-up brush to unclog the sieve. If you cannot

clean it properly with the washing-up brush, put the

pod holder in the machine and descale the machine

(see chapter CALC).

The SENSEO

coffee is not

strong enough.

HD7828 only: Use the strength selector to brew a

stronger coffee by selecting less coffee volume.

If you prefer a more robust avour, SENSEO

coffee

pods with a stronger blend are available.

Make sure that you place the coffee pod(s) properly in

the centre of the pod holder and ensure the coffee in

the pod is evenly distributed.

The SENSEO

coffee is too

strong.

If you prefer a milder avour, SENSEO

coffee pods

with a milder blend are available.

HD7828: Use the strength selector to brew a milder

coffee.

The coffee is

not hot enough.

Do not use cups that are too large, as they cause the

coffee to get cold more quickly. Make sure the cups

have a capacity of at least 150ml.

The machine

has been stored

in a room that

was not frost-

free.

Contact the Philips Consumer Care Centre in your

country.

Flush the SENSEO

coffee machine before you brew the rst cup of coffee.

The coffee machine automatically switches off.
